IOF Programs

IOF works to advance the understanding of osteoporosis and to promote prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease worldwide.  The Foundation does this through numerous programs, projects and activities which are organized in five basic program areas:

Science/Health Professionals: advancing science, working with healthcare professionals

IOF Family: mobilizing the global movement and the IOF network, including CSA, CCA, CNS, and improving its members’ skills and capacity.

Policy: lobbying healthcare and government authorities.

Outreach and Education: public awareness and education.

Administration and Finance: fundraising, conferences, meetings, management.
