The IOF Osteoporosis Journalism Awards

 
The IOF Osteoporosis Journalism Awards were presented at the IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis, Toronto, Canada on June 6, 2006. The awards recognized outstanding print reporting about osteoporosis, with separate awards for general press and medical journalists.

The Award was organized by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Roche-GSK, to promote the awareness and understanding of osteoporosis worldwide.

Winning journalists received cash prizes ranging from US$5000 to US$300 and extensive global publicity. In addition, first place winners received an all expense paid trip to the Congress for the award presentations.

IOF intends to offer the awards again  in 2008 - further information and application forms will be posted here as soon as possible.
