IOF Osteoporosis Diagnosis Course, with Densitometry Certification, Sinaia, Romania
Sinaia, a beautiful touristic resort in the Carpathian Mountains, near Peles and Dracula Castles, hosted the IOF Osteoporosis Diagnosis Course, with Densitometry Certification.
The course was organized by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the Romanian Society of Osteoporosis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (SROBMS).
The IOF speakers were renowned personalities in the field, Professor Rene Rizzoli (prominent member of the IOF board) and Professor Marius Kraenzlin (Director of the course to IOF). Romanian speakers were: Professor Dr. Daniel Grigorie, president of the SROBMS and local organizer of the course and Professor Dr. Horatiu Bolosiu, president of OSART.
The meeting was attended by 106 specialists in osteoporosis from all related specialties: endocrinology, orthopedics, rheumatology, rehabilitation, radiology.
Participants enjoyed the exceptional professional level of the meeting and the opportunities for informal discussion. Many of them expressed the desire to repeat the course and maybe with a practical densitometry training session. We are delighted by the numerous positive feedbacks from Romanian medical community.
The results of the satisfaction evaluation are the following: most of the participants were extremely satisfied (86%) and appreciated the general organization and the schedule of the course (92%).

Media attention through nationwide, interactive press conference in Romania
The SROBMS together with other academic and patients societies is planning an interactive nationwide press conference, with the strong support of a national on-line TV channel. On the same day, in the evening, SROBMS President, Dr. Daniel Grigorie MD, will give an interview to a Romanian international TV channel.
