Strong media coverage of WOD event in Athens
A large public meeting in the Zapeion Megaron in Athens Greece was organized by the Hellenic Foundation of Osteoporosis (HELIOS) and the Hellenic Society of Osteoporosis Patient Support (a society with more than 1000 members) The meeting was held in co-operation with the Municipality of Athens and the Mayor of Athens, Mrs Dora Bakoyianni, who is among the most influential Greek politicians. This event also gained extensive media attention as one of the major Green newspapers, Eleftherotypia, published a special issue on osteoporosis (circulation 100000 copies!). All Greek newspapers, TV and radio stations covered the event.
