Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA)

The CSA is one of IOF's three membership groups. It is composed of members from the medical and scientific community, with membership based on scientific merit.
The mandate of CSA is to advise the Board on scientific matters related to IOF's objectives to further clinical and basic research. The Committee also establishes working groups and conducts research projects based on the needs and interests of the membership.
In order to ensure that the CSA remains an active body, the membership has been divided into two groups. In contrast to Full Members, Corresponding Members have no voting rights and do not attend CSA meetings. They can however participate in research working groups (see below for further information) and receive written correspondence from IOF.
Prof. Cyrus Cooper was elected Chairman and Prof. René Rizzoli was elected Vice Chairman for the term 2006-2010.
