About the CSA
The CSA is one of IOF's core membership committees. It consists of expert members in the field of osteoporosis from the medical and scientific community.
The objectives of the CSA are to:
- Advise the Board in all scientific matters related to the Foundation
- Further the clinical and basic research objectives of the Foundation
- Support national policy changes
- Provide recommendations for practice in the care of osteoporosis on a global dimension.
In order to ensure that the CSA remains an active body, the membership has been divided into two groups. In contrast to full members, corresponding members have no voting rights and do not attend CSA meetings. They can however participate in research working groups and receive written correspondence from IOF.
The Committee also establishes working groups and conducts scientific projects based on the needs and interests of the membership.
How to Join the Committee of Scientific Advisors / Membership Benefits
Membership to this committee of dedicated professionals worldwide is based on scientific merit and offers the opportunity to participate in IOF working groups and multinational research projects. Members are invited to take part in IOF’s bi-annual business meetings where they can discuss with colleagues new initiatives in the field of osteoporosis.
