Vision

To explore the poorly understood pathophysiology of osteoporosis in young adults.

Aim

The CSA Pathophysiology Working Group aims to understand the causes of low bone mass in young adults and to identify its genetic factors.


Objectives of the working group

  • To provide guidelines into the pathophysiology and clinical approach of low bone mass and fractures in young adults
  • To create a network of genetic reference laboratories for the molecular diagnosis of monogenic disorders of bone fragility
  • To set-up an international registry of familial low bone mass
