IOF Individual Memberships
The following shall be individual members of the IOF and shall be entitled to the benefits listed below. Each individual member shall have access to the Members Only Section of the IOF Website.
General Benefits of Individual Membership
- get significant reduced registration fees at IOF ECCEO Congresses
- be part of the largest global non-governmental organization dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis
- get preferential access to information about IOF World Congresses
- free online access to Progress in Osteoporosis
- free access to latest science and educational materials through the IOF website
- opportunity to apply for grants and awards available for IOF World Congresses such as the IOF-Servier Young Investigator Research Grant – aiming specifically at encouraging young scientists to carry out high quality research consistent with IOF's objectives
- access to latest IOF publications
Committee of National Societies
Any member of a National Society which is a Full Member in good standing of the IOF CNS is a member of the IOF. A National Society must be approved by the CNS in accordance with its rules and regulations.
Additional Benefits of Membership
- Right to attend CNS Meetings and participate in elections for leadership positions
- Eligible for free registration to IOF ECCEO Congresses
Committee of Scientific Advisors
Any individual who is a Full Member of the Committee of Scientific Advisors is a member of the IOF. Committee of Scientific Advisors is a merit based committee and individuals must be elected onto the committee with the majority approval of the CSA in accordance with the CSA rules and regulations.
Additional Benefits of Membership
- Right to attend CSA Meetings and participate in elections for leadership positions
- Right to participate in Working Groups around specific topics to develop working papers, educational materials, guidelines
Committee of Corporate Advisors
Each Company who is a member of the IOF Committee of Corporate Advisors has the right to one free individual membership. In order to become a member of the CCA, a Company must be approved by the CCA in accordance with its rules and regulations.

- Right to attend CCA Meetings and participate in elections for leadership positions
IOF Congress Membership
This membership is open to any individual who has an interest in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Osteoporosis from a scientific, clinical, personal or policy point of view. For individuals attending an IOF Congress, a complementary IOF Congress Membership is available for 1 year. Congress members are entitled to the general benefits listed above.
