Description of the programme
The main thrust of the programme is the distribution of educational materials to the public. For the period around World Osteoporosis Day there is a greater emphasis on the programme with special events organised, nationwide advertising and the distribution of dairy products. A robot which walks and talks is used to explain to children what osteoporosis is and actions that can help to prevent it, such as drinking milk, exercising and exposure to sunlight.
