Description of the programme
The aim of the programme is to inform teachers about the importance of bones and healthy nutrition. Teachers are presented with information via audio-visual presentations at conferences, and question and answer sessions. Teachers are encouraged to educate their pupils in the classroom and through special sports activities. Parents are also included in the programme via parent-teacher meetings. Retired teachers have volunteered to augment classroom teachers with this programme, thus keeping costs at a minimum.
