20th IOF Advanced Training Course on Osteoporosis
Celebrating its 20th year, this well-known course, previously held annually in Lyon, France, will take place for the first time in Geneva, Switzerland. The course will be held at the InterContinental Hotel for a limited number of participants to encourage informal discussion and interaction with the expert speakers.
The 2 1/2 day course is aimed at medical and allied health professionals as well as industry representatives who wish to gain an overall understanding of this serious disease and its management.
Its objectives are to provide an understanding of:
- the underlying physiology and epidemiology of the disease of osteoporosis
- the signs and symptoms of osteoporosis, and ability to identify them
- the current diagnostic methods available and how to implement them
- treatment options available for osteoporosis and the proper assessment of treatment options for the case in hand
