How can the social and economic burden of osteoporosis be properly estimated for each country? Given tight health care budgets, how do policy makers decide who should be treated for osteoporosis? This section of the IOF website, currently a work in progress, will offer information about various IOF health economics projects and models, including cost-effectiveness and cost-utility studies.
