IOF embarks on intensive targeted support program in Asia

Three of Asia's largest, most economically active countries are receiving intensive IOF support to promote changes in health care policy for the benefit of people with osteoporosis.
The IOF Targeted Support Program is aimed at the development of three-year programs in India, Indonesia and Vietnam, three Asian countries which are, respectively, the world's second, fourth and 14th most populous countries.

New initiative for bone health launched in Vienna

An exciting new initiative ‘Lebensbasisknocken’ (Bones: The Basis of Life) was presented to the public on January 31, 2006 at a press conference held in Vienna. High-ranking experts together with the Austrian Minister for Health and Women, Maria Rauch-Kallat, highlighted the vital role that bone health plays at all ages.
Austria has a very high incidence of bone diseases and diseases of the skeleton.

Osteoporosis in Europe – a new report tracks the road to progress
