The City Information Desk is available during Exhibition opening hours within the Exhibition Area

Children

IOF delegates are asked to refrain from taking children and accompanying persons to any scientific session. Registered guests and children (as accompanying persons) are welcome to relax in the various rest areas, however, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Please contact your hotel for a list of babysitters.

Coffee and Refreshments

At given times, Coffee breaks are served with the Exhibition & Poster Areas for participants, registered accompanying persons and Exhibitors that purchased the Coffee Breaks and lunches packages. Coffee, refreshments and snacks can be purchased from several Food and Beverages outlets in the Meeting Venue or neighbouring shopping centre.

Dress Code

Dress is informal throughout the entire Meeting. IOF, however, reserves the right to refuse access when deemed necessary for the comfort and safety of all delegates.

First Aid

First Aid will be available during Meeting hours in the unit located in Level 3 East Wing. The nearest hospital is Gleneagles Hospital, located approximately 10 minutes away by taxi from the Meeting Venue.

Hotel Information Desk

The Hotel Desk is located in the Registration Area during Meeting opening hours.

Internet Corner

The Internet Corner (to be confirmed) will be available to all delegates during the Exhibition hours.

KLCC has 6 internet stations at Parkview Deck Level 1 and also offers free WIFI at Parkview Deck Cafe. Alternatively, WIFI throughout the Venue is available for purchase from the business centre at RM 120++ per day.

Language

English is the official Meeting language. No translation is provided.

Liability and Insurance

The Meeting organizer (IOF), the Meeting Venue (Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre), its official appointed agencies for Registration & Housing Bureau (MCI Suisse SA) and for Exhibition/Sponsor Relationships (MCI Group Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.), and any suppliers, representatives or agents linked to the organization of the Meeting shall not be held liable by any person for any injury, damage, theft, loss, medical problem or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while traveling to or from, or during such person’s presence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in connection with this Meeting. Participants and their guests are advised to purchase their own insurance against any such occurrences.

Lunches and Coffee Breaks

Official lunches and official coffee breaks will be provided.
Beverages and snacks can be purchased in various F&B outlets in the Centre.

Mobile Phone

Please be respectful of speakers and fellow delegates and switch off mobile devices during all sessions.

Parking

The Venue has 3 car park entrances. The Main Entrance is on Jalan Pinang opposite the UOA Building. The West Entrance is opposite the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Ballroom entrance and the Park Entrance is in the centre of the building and accessed on foot through KLCC Park.

Any security problems or concerns should be reported to Security Office, +60 12 2967 854       Security staff will handle any emergency situation and everyone is asked to follow the instructions announced over the loudspeaker system. Emergency exits are marked with Green exit signs.

Smoking Restrictions

Smoking is not permitted in hospitals/clinics, airports, public lifts and toilets, air-conditioned restaurants, public transport, government premises, educational institutions, petrol stations, Internet cafes, shopping complexes and private office spaces with central air-conditioning;

Smoking is prohibited in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. All public areas, inclusive of foyers, registration counters, meeting rooms are designated as non-smoking zones.

IOF thanks all participants and exhibitors for not smoking at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre at all times. This includes the meeting rooms, exhibition & poster areas, restrooms, snack bars, and within 100 metres of the main entrances and exits of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
