East meets West in Suzhou, China

Participate in a unique meeting that will review current practices and policies in the management of musculoskeletal aging.

Osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and sarcopenia - serious disorders of the musculoskeletal system - are the key topics of a meeting to be held in Suzhou China on October 17, 2018. The unique programme will offer a comprehensive comparison of European and Chinese guidance and management strategies in the three disease areas.

The one-day meeting is organized by the Chinese Medical Association (CMA), the Chinese Society of Osteoporosis and Bone Mineral Research (CSOBMR), and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO). With high-level endorsement by the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Aspects of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging, the Belgian Senate, and the Belgian Federal Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, 'East Meets West' reflects the importance and universality of musculoskeletal disorders.

As well as leading speakers from China, speakers will include ESCEO President Professor Jean-Yves Reginster, ESCEO Scientific Advisor Board Chair Professor René Rizzoli, ESCEO Vice- President and IOF President Cyrus Cooper and ESCEO and IOF Honorary President John Kanis.
