IOF Surveys and Reports
In June 2000, IOF released a first-of-its-kind survey report entitled, "How Fragile is Her Future?". The report, which was translated into numerous languages, revealed that despite the vast progress made in osteoporosis research and education over the last decade, bone loss was still not being detected early enough to protect postmenopausal women from osteoporosis-related fractures.
IOF subsequently commissioned additional surveys and reports that have focused on other aspects of osteoporosis awareness and on the all-important issue of adherence to medication.
