IOF European Union Policy Initiatives and Publications IOF has worked to catalyze policy initiatives in the EU since 1997. Our most important objective is the implementation of the Eight Recommendations, published by the European Commission in 1998, to make the prevention of osteoporosis a health care priority in all EU member states.
