IOF calcium and vitamin D recommendations are evidence based

In response to a recent paper questioning the integrity of musculoskeletal health organizations, IOF has issued a statement which confirms its position: calcium needs should preferably be met through dietary sources, vitamin D supplementation is recommended only for falls and fracture protection in the elderly or those at high risk of deficiency.
