Updated FRAX App now available

New FRAX App for iPhones (soon on Android) allows physicians to assess their patients’ 10-year risk of osteoporotic fracture in any clinical setting and includes 58 models for 53 countries. The new App replaces the old, obsolete version 1.x to 3.x.

Palestine puts osteoporosis on the health policy agenda

The Palestinian Osteoporosis Prevention Society (POPS) has established a National Committee for the Prevention of Osteoporosis under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health - the objective is to develop and implement a National Action Plan. IOF’s 2011 Middle East & Africa Regional Audit was an important catalyst of this and other policy-related activity in the region.
