IOF President Cyrus Cooper named Highly Cited Researcher 2017

Congratulations to Cyrus Cooper, whose research ranks among the top 1% most cited in the field in the annual list published by Clarivate Analytics (fomerly Thomson Reuters).

IOF President Professor Cyrus Cooper has been named a 2017 Highly Cited Researcher in the Clinical Medicine category. Professor Cooper’s research, ranked among the top 1% most cited works in his field and during its year of publication, earned the mark of exceptional impact.

Highly Cited Researchers is an annual list published by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) recognising leading researchers in the sciences and social sciences from around the world.

Professor Cooper’s work on the epidemiology of musculoskeletal ageing, including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and sarcopenia, has contributed to over 1,000 published items; 46,000 citations and an H index of 111. These metrics led to his work qualifying within the top 1% for clinical medicine worldwide in the current year.
