Live Stronger for Longer initiative in New Zealand

New multisector falls and fracture prevention initiative focuses on improving outcomes that matter to older people and their families.

The ‘Live Stronger for Longer’ initiative is New Zealand’s new multisector initiative on falls and fracture prevention - it includes Fracture Liaison Services and the ANZ Hip Fracture Registry. Partners and contributors include the Accident Compensation Corporation, the Ministry of Health, the Health Quality and Safety Commission  and Osteoporosis New Zealand, among other leading organizations.

IOF congratulates Osteoporosis New Zealand, and all participating organizations, on this excellent initiative -  which sets a great example for other countries. It illustrates what can be achieved when all stakeholders collaborate to improve outcomes that matter to older people, their family and friends.
