Osvaldo Daniel Messina

Dr Osvaldo Daniel Messina is Director of Rheumatology, Cosme Argerich Hospital, Buenos Aires, Argentina and IRO Medical center, Buenos Aires. In addition, he is Director of the Rheumatology Training Program at the School of Medicine, The University of Buenos Aires, and serves on the Committee of Scientific Advisors of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF).

Dr Messina is a member of the certification committee in metabolic bone diseases of the Argentine Society of Osteoporosis and National Academy of Medicine, Argentina and a member of the board of the Argentine Society of Rheumatology. He holds international membership in the American College of Rheumatology and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.

Previously, Dr Messina served as President of the Argentine Society of Osteoporosis (SAO) and President of the Buenos Aires Rheumatology Association. (ARCBA )

The author of more than 50 clinical communications, Dr Messina also has received seven awards in clinical medicine and research from the National Academy of Medicine, Argentina; the Asociacion Medica Argentina (twice); the Argentine Society of Rheumatology; the Pan-American Osteoporosis Foundation; and the Argentine Society of Osteoporosis (twice).
