Patricia Clark

Dr Patricia Clark is a Rheumatologist from Mexico City, currently Head of the Clinical Epidemiology Unit in the Hospital Infantil de Mexico, she also coordinates the Master and PhD programs on Clinical Epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Mexico (UNAM) where she is appointed as a full time professor.

A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of La Salle University in Mexico, she studied her Master and PhD degrees in Medical Sciences from McMaster University in Canada and The National University in Mexico City (UNAM) respectively.

Actively involved in clinical and epidemiological research on osteoporosis and bone health in Mexico and Latin America, she has authored and coauthored several research papers in the area and coordinated the Latin American Vertebral Osteoporosis study (LAVOS).

As a member of the Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA) and the working group on Epidemiology at the International Osteoporosis Foundation IOF, she has collaborated with the FRAX WHO initiative.

She is member of the Editorial Board of Osteoporosis International with other metabolic bone diseases Journal, and has been distinguished as a National Researcher by the National Researcher System (SNI) in her country.
