Yoghurt in Nutrition Award

This Award, valued at USD 30,000, is offered by the Yogurt in Nutrition (YINI) Initiative for a balanced diet. It is a project led by the Danone Institute International in collaboration with the American Society for Nutrition and the International Osteoporosis Foundation.

The Award supports projects focused on the role of yogurt in the prevention and management non-communicable diseases, particularly in the following areas of investigation:

  • mechanisms of action
  • pediatric populations
  • diet quality and health parameters

Proposed projects will be funded for up to two years. Applications may be submitted by research teams from public research organizations or researchers at universities or hospitals. Applications can be from individuals, a single team, or several teams in collaboration. Proposals must be neither previously published nor subject to patent disclosures. A call for 2016 YINI Award applications will be made in early 2016.
